Easykab Terms of Service & Booking Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all private hire bookings and airport transfers booked with Easykab. By placing a booking via our website, telephone hotline (01638 590773), or WhatsApp service, you enter into a binding agreement subject to UK Private Hire Regulations and West Suffolk Council licensing standards.

1. Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

Easykab is a fully licensed Private Hire Operator authorized by West Suffolk Council under the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976. All drivers undergo Enhanced DBS (CRB) background checks and medical clearances.

2. Fixed Fares & Drop-Off Fee Inclusions

All airport transfer quotes provided by Easykab are guaranteed fixed flat rates. Quoted airport fares explicitly include standard airport terminal drop-off charges (e.g. London Stansted £5 drop-off fee and Heathrow terminal charges) and toll fees. Additional charges apply only if extra unannounced pickups or extended waiting times are requested.

3. Flight Delay Monitoring & Free Waiting Time

For all airport arrival pickups, Easykab monitors inbound flight status using live radar tracking systems. We include 45 minutes of free waiting time starting from the actual flight landing time. If a passenger is delayed past 45 minutes at passport control or baggage claim, standard waiting charges (£20/hour pro-rata) apply.

4. Child Seat Policy (UK Road Traffic Act Exemption)

Under UK law (Section 15 of the Road Traffic Act 1988), licensed taxis and private hire vehicles are exempt from providing child seats if not available, allowing children under 3 to travel in the rear seat without a belt if unprovided. However, Easykab offers complimentary booster and child seats upon 24-hour advance booking request.

5. Cancellations & Refund Policy

Cancellations made more than 12 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time receive a 100% full refund. Cancellations made within 12 hours of the journey may incur a 50% administration fee to compensate allocated drivers.

6. Vehicle Soilage & Damage Surcharges

In accordance with West Suffolk Council licensing tariffs, any passenger causing soilage or interior damage to a vehicle will be liable for a standard £80.00 cleaning charge plus loss of driver earnings.
